Laurel and Hardy fans around the country will soon be able to watch two classic films restored to their former glory in a stunning 4K resolution.
With special thanks to the Laurel and Hardy Forum, you'll be able to watch two 1933 Laurel and Hardy classics: Dirty Work and Sons of the Desert. These films will be premiering up and down the country with thanks to Showcase Cinemas for providing a home for these exquisite masterpieces.
On Sunday 15th October 2023 and Tuesday 17th October 2023, Showcase Cinemas will be screening these films in the following locations:

Dirty Work
Stan and Ollie arrive at the home of Professor Noodle, played by Lucien Littlefield, working as a couple of Chimney Sweeps. The boys get to work and their usual antics ensue. Ollie is up on the roof while Stan remains beside the fireplace and it's safe to say they create quite a bit of a mess. Things get off to a bad start with the dry-witted Butler as the pair begin to destroy the home of the Mad Scientist. Whiles the Butler is otherwise occupied looking for an Electric Chair, the boys take part in a Scientific Experiment with some unusual side effects...
Sons of the Desert
Laurel and Hardy attend a meeting with the Sons of the Desert at the fraternal lodge in California. The boys take an oath to attend the upcoming convention in Chicago. However, their wives back home are not very accepting of the idea as Mrs Hardy has already organised a trip to the mountains. Ollie fabricates a nervous breakdown, allowing him to avoid the trip with his wife, under the false pretence that he’ll be going on an ocean voyage to Honolulu instead. The boys travel to Chicago for the convention, but will their wives have any idea of their trip?
